Precision farming practices in conjunction with strict record keeping has been applied for many years.

5 259 ha is currently being planted, comprising 4 721 ha of drylands and 537 ha of irrigated lands, respectively. The arable land includes 1 698 ha of leased land.

ARABLE LAND
High potential lands where all corrections are done on a 3 year rotation basis Soil-analysis maps are available.
Minimum and no-till practices are exercised, with conventional corrections where necessary.
Currently mainly maize and soybeans are planted, but potatoes were also previously grown with great success (Dryland and irrigation).
Crop rotation is done annually on a 50/50 rotational basis between soybeans and maize.
The seller is currently one of the largest Non-GMO white maize producers in South Africa.
The planting operation has been running on the JD Link system since 2016 all planting and harvesting records are available.

LONG TERM AVERAGE YIELD
Average yield on soy for the last 3 years in excess of 3 tons.
Average yield on maize for the last 3 years in excess of 8 tons.

IRRIGATION
Water rights: Only 301 hectares have been developed, more water rights are available.
Pivots: There are 18 pivots included in the sale, of which 6 of the pivots are on leased lands.
Pivot irrigation is mainly done from 2 large earth dams with a combined surface size of 116 hectares. These dams are fed by perennial streams.
There are also several boreholes used for irrigation.
There is a 47 ha dam on leased land, the water rights of which belong to the seller.

GRAZING
1 744 hectares of which 144 ha consists of planted pasture.
Although the carrying capacity is sufficient for approximately 2 000 cattle, 1 300 Cattle are currently farmed. Summer grazing is done on pastures and winter grazing is on crop remains.
Seasonally ± 2,900 bales are cut from planted pastures and water drainage courses.
There are livestock handling facilities and kraals on different sections of the farm.
There are several boreholes and smaller earth dams for livestocks daily water needs.
The fences of the farm are in a very good and neat condition.
Cattle are corralled in the evening.

INFRASTRUCTURE
